After three years, forty races and tens of thousands of photographs, my time as a full time MotoGP photographer came to an end when the chequered flag dropped at Valencia in 2016. Actually, it would be a couple of hours later but that would be less poetic.
Those three years were an absolute blast and Iâll cherish the memories for the rest of my days. I made some great friends and I miss hanging out with them and of course the banter.
This coming weekend the MotoGP circus is going to Silverstone for the British Grand Prix and so am I. It will be my first MotoGP race since Valencia and Iâm really looking forward to it. Not because Silverstone is a great track for photography, itâs not. Iâm really looking forward to catching up with my friends in the paddock. Sadly they wonât all be there but Iâll hopefully catch up with them somewhere in 2018.
I will, of course, be taking some photos while Iâm there and Iâll be sharing images on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram during the weekend.
In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this collection from the last three years at Silverstone.
